Understanding Kidney Stones

Kidney stones is a common health issue that can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. They are small mineral deposits that form in the kidneys and can travel down the ureter, causing blockage and pain. One of the most common sizes of kidney stones is 4mm.

Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment:-

  • Severe pain in the lower back, side, or groin
  • Pain or burning during urination
  • Blood in the urine
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Urinating more often or less frequently
  • A strong urge to urinate, even if there is very little urine

Prevention:-

  • Drinking plenty of water: Aim to drink at least 2L of water per day to help flush out waste products from the kidneys.
  • Maintaining a healthy diet, Eating a balanced diet that is low in salt, sugar, and animal protein can help reduce your risk of developing kidney stones.
  • Avoiding certain foods:- Some foods, such as spinach, rhubarb, and chocolate, can increase your risk of developing kidney stones.
  • Avoiding dehydration:- Dehydration can increase the concentration of waste products in the urine, which can increase the risk of kidney stones.

Foods:

  • Berries: Berries, such as blueberries and strawberries, are high in antioxidants and can help reduce inflammation in the body.
  • Citrus fruits: Lemons, limes, and oranges are high in citrate, which can help prevent the formation of kidney stones.
  • Drink much water.

Avoid:

  • Meats ,sugar and salts

above 4mm need to consult the doctor and ultra sound scan to find the stone size,

take (1 tsp mixed with water)Disodium Hydrogen Citrate Syrup help to dissolve the stone
